This is a very warm and cosy hat and you would be surprised how is the knitting easy.
Stitch guide:
- pm = place marker
- *1k* = repeat the part between stars
- sbkp = slip with the stitch below, knit, pass
- kb2tog = knit two together with the stitch below
- k2tog = knit two together
- p2tog = purl two together
- p1b = purl one below, if you don't know this stitch, the video down could be helpful for you
- k1b = knit one below, if you don't know this stitch, the video down could be helpful for you
What do we need:
- 1 ball Drops Air light grey, color 03
- 1 ball Drops Air pink, color 08
- short double pointed needles, size 4 mm
Knitting pattern (knit in round):
- very loosely cast on 48 stitches
- 1 round: knit all stitches
- light grey: *k1, p1* repeat in the round until the work measures about 2-3 cm
- light grey: *k1b, p1*
- pink: *k1, p1b*
- repeat last two rounds until the work measures 15 cm, last round must be pink and we place markers: *k1, p1* repeat three times (6 stitches), pm, *k1, p1* repeat six times (12 stitches), pm, *k1, p1* repeat six times (12 stitches), pm, *k1, p1* repeat six times (12 stitches), pm, *k1, p1* repeat three times (6 stitches)
- shape the crown:
- 1. round: light grey: *k1b, p1* to the last two stitches before the marker, sbkp, pm. kb2tog. Repeat from the begining. (40)
- 2. round: pink *k1, p1b*, knit the first stitch behind the marker, continue *k1, p1b* to the next marker and knit the next stitches. Repeat to the end ot the round
- 3. round: light grey *k1b, p1* by every marker knit like this: k1b, pm, k1b, k1b
- 4. round = 2. round
- 5. round: light grey: *k1b, p1* to the last two before marker, slip 1, k1b, pass, pm, k1b, p2tog. Repeat from the begining (32)
- 6. round: pink: *k1, p1b*
- 7. round: light grey: *k1b, p1*
- 8. round = 6. round
- 9. round = 1. round (24)
- 10. round = 2. round
- 11. round = 3. round
- 12. round = 4. round
- 13. round = 5. round (16)
- 14. round: light grey: knit all stitches
- 15. - 18. round: light grey: knit all stitches
- 19. round - *k2tog* (8)
- cut the yarn and pull it throw all stitches, tight it
- sew on pompom and wear the hat :)
